Gold ROI Ladder
Gold (and real money) is wasted by most players on the wrong things at the wrong time. This ladder ranks gold-bar uses from highest return to lowest. Spend top-down.
The ladder
Section titled “The ladder”1. VIP levels — the multiplier (do this first)
Section titled “1. VIP levels — the multiplier (do this first)”VIP is the single highest-ROI gold sink because its bonuses are multiplicative: a 15% construction-speed bonus amplifies every speedup you use, every faction help, and every construction pack — not just raw time.
- VIP 1–6: strongest returns relative to cost; rush here first (reachable in ~2 weeks).
- VIP 7–12: the “competitive core” where serious accounts operate.
- VIP 13–20: diminishing returns — only after everything below is handled.
See the full VIP Guide.
2. Enforcer grade materials (after VIP 6–10)
Section titled “2. Enforcer grade materials (after VIP 6–10)”Cuffs, Shackles, Liquor give permanent combat improvements. Worth it once you have core enforcers below Grand. At VIP 10+ with sub-Grand enforcers, redirect gold here.
3. Second construction queue (one-time)
Section titled “3. Second construction queue (one-time)”A ~$5–10 one-time purchase that permanently doubles building throughput. Buy it in week one — see First 30 Days.
4. Event packs — during scoring windows only
Section titled “4. Event packs — during scoring windows only”Buying packs inside a Personal/Hell event or Government War stage double-dips: you get the pack value and the event milestone rewards. The same dollars in dead air earn half as much.
5. Campaign & Kingpin token funding
Section titled “5. Campaign & Kingpin token funding”Fund enforcer tokens and exclusive-weapon components for your core enforcers (not the whole roster).
What to AVOID
Section titled “What to AVOID”| Don’t | Why |
|---|---|
| Buy speedups with gold | Worst value in the game. Earn them from Campaign/events instead. |
| Spend in dead air | You forfeit event milestone rewards. |
| Spread across many enforcers | Value concentrates at Elite→Grand on a focused few. |
| Rush VIP 13–20 early | Diminishing returns before the rest of the ladder is done. |
The meta-rule: timing > total
Section titled “The meta-rule: timing > total”The difference between a server dominator and a mid-pack account is pack selection and timing, not raw spend. A disciplined low-spender who only buys value packs during scoring windows can out-progress a bigger spender who buys impulsively.
